Kenny has been performing professionally since the age of 13.
He started out in a band of his friends at the nudging of his brother, pianist Gregory Smith. Within a year he was doing mini-tours in New York and Pennsylvania. Playing in school and stage bands with a variety of music groups, he developed a smooth soothing style that is prevalent in his music efforts today. He plays Alto/Saprano Saxophone, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass, and is know in Akron, Ohio as a prominent engineer, producer, songwriter.
Through the years he has worked as a studio engineer and producer. With his wife, singer/songwriter “Donna”, he minister’s at church’s and events throughout the Northeast Ohio, and Pennsylvania area’s. Kenny is a member of “Faith Temple Church” in Akron, Ohio, where he play’s Alto Saxophone in the church band.
Excepting “God” in his life 5 years ago, Kenny was inspired to do
a solo project after working with many of Akron’s best talent. The Key of “G” is the efforts of his Spiritual “Closeness” to “God” as well as his painstaking search to fulfill what “God” has blessed him with.
