Dandelion Snow, aka Roger Harvey, is set to return with a new 5-song EP in the Spring on Lion''s Tooth Records.
The New York City rooted, Seattle bound, songwriter will be joint-releasing the "Joy, Joy, Joy" EP on Lion''s Tooth Records, and the Lock and Key Collective on the 14th of April. "Joy, Joy Joy", is a precursor to the multi-instrumental, Chris Barker produced, full-length that is set to be released later this year by Dandelion Snow.
The 5-song collection is said to be astronomically different in style then the songs off January''s split-release of "Skeleton Butterflies" with Morgan Erina, with much more instrumentation and ambience than the previous releases. The album still maintains the stripped-down, honest sound of the previous Dandelion Snow recordings but gives the listeners a bit more to work with than a just a boy in his bedroom singing his heart into a 4-track machine. The record was recorded, engineered and, produced in Brooklyn, New York by Roger with help from a few close friends in the month of February and mastered by Josh Allamon in Orlando, Florida.
Guest Appearances come from Morgan Erina, Jake Kaplan, and a host of other musicians as Roger keeps the tradition of leaving the door open to his friends during the recording process.
Dates kick off on the 2nd of April in Boston, Massachusetts as Dandelion Snow and company will be playing a handful of shows to promote the forthcoming release of "Joy, Joy, Joy" in the US as well as Toronto, Ontario. As Dandelion Snow will be in the studio for most of April and May the shows are sporadic and will be followed up by a US-tour at the end of May that will span through the Mid-Western States and end in the Pacific Northwest.
