Friends…many of you know of our family’s love for the country and people of Guatemala. If this is news to you, please go to https://www.tradebit.com and you can get up to speed. Regardless, it’s there. That love. The love that has birthed visions, given us songs, and engaged our hearts in a whole new way. We have been changed by the broken, the hopeless, the widows, the orphans that call the country their home. Yet in the country, there are those (both native and permanent “visitors”) who care for the people of Guatemala and who have captured our hearts just the same. They have incredible stories to tell.
As if I am endorsing a great book, let me introduce The Greenes. Brady, Cindy, and their boys-- Parker, John, Guille, & Charlie. We have known the Greene’s for about 10 years. Brady and I were neighbors in college and we all (Me, Kristin, Brady, Cindy) were Young Life leaders/staff together in Knoxville, TN. For the past 6 years or so, they have been living in Guatemala working for Young Life International. By this summer however, they will be forced to return to the States because the support they have been feverishly attempting to raise will be exhausted. Their desire is to remain in the country and to continue reaching the lost and the forgotten. I want to ask you for two things:

Darrell Vanzant and his family have been long time friends of Young Life. Darrell has been a volunteer leader for over 10 years and has been invited to share his music at numerous Young Life properties during banquets, summer, fall, and winter events. Darrell lives in Franklin, TN with his beautiful wife Kristin and their two children Emma and Mac.
