Shortly after writing/recording "X Marks The Spot", a tribute to the hit TV series "The X-Files", Bernadett received an invitation from the "All Things Inspired By" organization to use the song to help raise money and awareness for actress Gillian Anderson''s charity event in Los Angeles, California. Humbled and honored at the opportunity to do some good, the song (along with items donated by Gillian, 20th Century Fox, Frank Spotnitz, Jimmy Kimmel, and George Clooney) managed to raise about $8,000 for the genetic disease, Neurofibromatosis.
All copies of "X Marks The Spot" will continue to help raise money and awareness for Gillian Anderson''s selected charity organizations which include: Neurofibromatosis, Inc, Off The Street Kids, Buskaid, The Trevor Project, Fezeka, The Feminist Majority Foundation, Artists For A New South Africa, Action For South Africa, and Amnesty International.
