Music began for Paul at an early age with the accordion at the age of 5, the trumpet at 12 and keyboards and vocals in his teens. Guitar has been a recent addition.
His family recorded with Word Records and was on radio and TV around the world as well as playing music for Billy Graham.
As Paul entered college, he embarked on what would be almost 15 years of running from the Lord. Rock bands in Detroit and Minneapolis and country bands in the South finally brought him to the brink of what the world would call “success” with offers from Warner Bros. as well as MCA Records.
With this life also came parties and the daily life of drugs and alcohol, but the Lord had other plans. Paul ran into God’s “velvet hammer” that brought him to his knees and he met the Savior! “Old things were passed away” and his life was dramatically changed.
Paul’s music seems to reflect his diverse background. The Christian message with most of the lyrics coming from the Bible is very clear, while the music has an early 60’s sound yet without attempts to be a clone of any particular band or artist. The recordings are crystal clear yet with a warm analog sound. Paul harmonizes with himself as well as playing all the guitar, keyboard, bass and drum parts with a very unique yet familiar sound. I know you will enjoy these musical offerings.
