Evan Tracz is an itinerant guitarist/singer/songwriter who filters his brand of accessible rock and pop through his unique life experiences. After playing rock, jazz and acoustic music in Boston during the mid-nineties, Evan joined the U.S. Peace Corps and moved to Turkmenistan for two years, where he taught English, music, and educational methodology to adults and children in a small, desert community. During that time, he learned the local stringed instrument (the dutar) and incorporated elements of traditional Turkmen music into his own compositional style.
