Songwriter/Producer, Sean Hosein (Kelly Rowland, The Corrs, Jessica Simpson, Amy Grant) says of the Robbie Burns Returns EP, “Your honest, organic music will find many listeners”.
Robbie studied composition at Berklee College of Music and went on to have songs published by Warner Chappell, Almo-Irving and BMG. Robbie''s songs have been performed by a number of notable artists but now Robbie is singing his own material and writing songs specifically for his unique voice.
His arrangements involve primarily acoustic instruments featuring his style of close guitar voicings and vocal harmonic extensions that result in a memorable signature sound.
Robbie writes for and plays in both traditional singer/songwriter format – guitar and voice – and in a band setting. His material is in the vein of the classic American Alternative Pop Song – you won’t see him or anyone like him on American Idol!!

The Songs:
“Outside of You”, is a classic, organic love song. Hip chord changes over an elastic string bass and great guitar sounds.
In “You’re an Angel”, Robbie sings out against the dark prince of declining contemporary culture, Simon Cowell. Someone had to do it and we’re glad it was Robbie. After you hear this song, you’ll want to turn off your TV and go out to hear a live alternative act at one of your local venues.
“Cruel Justice” is a song about one of Robbie’s pet peeves – arrogance. In this story, it applies to the envy of another man’s woman… Snapping percussionists join Robbie’s guitar trio here to give us a cool pop-bossa sound that will get you up out of your chair.
“Story in the Snow” is presented in classic singer/song writer format. Here Robbie reveals himself as a man with a guitar and a haunting story.
“When Was the Last Time” completes the set on a thoughtful note that leaves us asking ourselves questions and wanting to hear this disc again – and again.
