RGP – Ronald is my first name, Glover is my father’s last name, and Parker is my mother’s last name and with this love Trinity makes up me RGP. RGP- Also stands for Representing God’s People and Radically Giving Praise. I was born in 1980, everything was good until my mother lost her job and my mother and father not being married with my father not living with us, my mother struggled to make ends meet. Moving from neighborhood to neighborhood for short periods of time because we couldn’t afford to stay in one place long was difficult and unstable. So I moved with my great grandmother who I called Ma, who raised me to who I am today and pointed me in the direction of the Lord. On January 1995 I find another home that I would stay in and it was when I joined Unity Missionary Baptist Church, Macon, GA. There I started my Christian Journey with the guidance of Rev. Edward Dawson and First Lady Helen Dawson. There I Joined the choir, and the usher board. One day on a rehearsal night under the direction of Curtis Combs Jr. He encouraged me to sing out and I did and I’ve been singing out every since then.
Now I have been singing for 14 years, I have been directing choirs for 11 years and writing songs for six years and in 2006 I decided to do an album. I Titled the Album “He’s Been Good To Me” because in spite of my faults and bad habits when I look back over my life I realized God has been good to me. Even after I backslid and fathered a son at the age of 17 he still picked me up and turned me around then he placed my feet on a solid ground. After that I wanted to create some music that everybody could listen to both young and old and be able to understand. This album consist of Hip Hop Gospel, R&B Gospel, Contemporary Gospel, and Traditional Gospel. With 17 songs on this album I guarantee that there is something for everybody on it. You will not be disappointed, this album is my testimony on how God has been good to me and what he has done for me he’ll do it for you can I get a witness? AMEN.
