Bred and spread in Los Angeles with a hint of Rhode Island and Arizona mixed in, no one really knows exactly when Ninefinger started or where they came from. Maybe no one really remembers or even cares. Better yet, maybe they just blocked it from their memories. Either way, the self proclaimed “third best rock band in Los Angeles” is a hard rock band whose sound reminds you of 90’s grunge with a new updated flavor and twist. Guitarist Joshua Picard had been living in Los Angeles for quite some time and had been looking to start a band to play some new songs he had written after leaving his old band. He wanted to start something new and fresh. Enter Mike Winney. His story starts in the fall of 2000. A rocker by night and construction worker by day, Mike decided to follow his dream and head to L.A. to make it as a singer. There he met Joshua and the rest is Ninefinger history. James Ledesma joined Ninefinger on bass in the summer of 2005 and the band started to play out regularly with the addition of Eric “Buddah” Soria on drums. Mike and Joshua had finally found the last pieces of the Ninefinger puzzle. With Mike on vocals and Joshua on lead guitar, and James and Buddah to hold down the rhythm section, you have one kick ass rock band. Don’t miss out on Ninefinger! Not everyone has ten!
