Some will ask who Western Aerial is. Others are already converts to their brand of rock, which has drawn comparisons to Buckcherry, Velvet Revolver, AC/DC, and Foo Fighters. And, some will ask, "Is Western Aerial the band
from the Blazers'' games?"

The answer to the latter is YES.

Western Aerial, commissioned by the Blazers'' organization to cover The Who''s "Baba O''Reilly", were seen throughout the Blazers'' hometown games on the Jumbotron performing their rendition of the classic hit. You may have
also seen Western Aerial in a Blazers’ commercial on KGW that aired throughout the season, promoting attendance to the Blazers'' hometown games.

Riding on the wave of success and rise in attendance through the support of the Blazers, Western Aerial recorded "Rock ''N'' Roll Is Always In Fashion".

Featuring three songs - "There You Go", "Down", and "I''ve Got a Van" - Western Aerial''s forthcoming CD is a throwback to era of 45s, with a band choosing to release a few choice singles instead of a full-length album.

"We decided to do a series of singles that we''ll later compile into an album, which allows us to get new music out more often and keep it fresh," says vocalist/guitarist Geoff Metts on the band''s decision to revitalize the glory days of singles. "This way we''re not mired down with having to record 15 or 20 songs at once. The industry is changing so rapidly, at this point we can do whatever we want so why not take it in a retro direction. It''s sort of an old-thing-new-again; we’re adapting the old format of albums being a series of separate recordings to fit what’s possible now. And making sure we offer value and excitement to our fans because of it."

Consisting of Geoff Metts on guitar/vocals, Jimmy Richards on bass and vocals, and Anthony Tripp on drums and vocals, Portland''s own Western Aerial have seen quite a few accomplishments for their rock band in the
past few years:

-Covered The Who''s "Baba O''Reilly" for The Blazers, which aired during the Blazer''s home games during the 2008-2009 season to hundreds of thousands of fans during the season.
-Hired by The Blazers to do a commercial to promote the 2008-2009 Blazers seasons
-Played the main stage at KUFO’s Rockfest 12
-Played the 2007 VANS Warped Tour
-Chosen by KGW''s TV show "PDXposed" as "Best of Portland"
