General Blu was born 3-18-80 at Oregon Hospital State University, ( OHSU ) after his mother moved 4 months pregnant with him from Compton California along with his sister from Compton California and father from South Central Los Angeles. General Blu and his younger brother are the only two in his family that are natives of the Rose city Portland Oregon area. As a child he realized he had a gift for making music and putting sounds together. His favorite instrument is the drums but he loves to hunt and peck on the keyboard strings. General Blu started recording in the studio in 1998 after he graduated from high school. He recorded at the Thump Shacc with Madd Zaggs, ( formely known as zigg zagg) CEO of Ghetto Trillogy Records, K-Tizzy, TLK, Daylight, MC Ol Skool who also recorded with G- ism from Just Family Records also Pimpin and Panderin, Mac Dezy, All American, Mentality, Six, Tez, and General Blu''s former group Unknown Circle, Lil Boy Blue, Dreskiloc, Aj, Gotti, Playboy D, Macadosha, and the lil homie seven. As time went by he did a few shows and gained recording experience and learned how to express his self as an artist. In 2005 Madd Zaggs and General Blu shook hands like brothers and parted their ways after a loss in the family, the next 2 years for General Blu became crucial. Determined to find a new studio and to re- identify himself with out his rap group became a priority. Fully focused on his artistry and not the street life no more his prayers was answered. 2009 the highly anticipated cd Initiation, design to capture it''s listeners attention and feed their souls while demonstrating his interpretation of praise through G - Hop muzic giving its listeners a chance to become a member in the body of christ despite race, color or age, now has been completed after being surrounded by and connected with people in the direction he wanted to move in. General Blu continues to learn how to mix and produce his own muzic, he even started his own label, G-Hop Muzic (Gotta Have Ownership Possesion.) He started off recording hardcore gangsta rap about thangz gangstaz do. Gettin paid, gettin laid anticipating the day to be self made. But his Homiez , his rap group and buisness ties expired. The dynasty he was trying to build came to a crumble. The dream that was in General Blu was not in everybody else around him. Going solo was a good move for him. He later met Brandon Woods CEO of Woods way Entertainment consulted with him then later coached by him becoming a loyal student of the artistry then pointed in the right direction as his destiny awaited him. General Blu continues to grow, he is soon to be polished and seasoned. His gifts came from heaven and he has a voice that needs to be heard. The Initiation album will be recognized for its full potential. The follow up album will take it 2 the next level and re- define its self. But for now enjoy part one of the beginning and bare witness to its forth coming.
