The second recording by Redeemer Presbyterian Church of New York City’s own “6:30 band” was recorded live in San Francisco in 1998 and features 11 new jazz arrangements of traditional hymn tunes. Legendary jazz pianist Dave Brubeck comments, “The band is in top form!” Featuring Julie Dieslin August on cello, Jonathan Gilley on acoustic and electric bass, Chris Hughes on drums and percussion, Tom Jennings on piano and Steve Sacks on saxophones.
