iLL Philosophist & Shapeshifta, the True Scientizts, first met up in college in 2003. Both bored looking for something fun besides the always crazy party, they found a mutual interesting in the underground hip hop scene. Tired of the watered down music dj''s played on the radio, they started their own radio show HIP HOP 101 which was the number 1 show at their college, including presenting the colleges first and biggest M.C. Battle, hosted by the duo. Their passion for real hip hop went full force when they decided they should put out music together. Shapeshifta''s beats and iLL Philosophists lyrics were perfect chemistry, thus the name True Scientizts was born.
With a few small releases, this release is their most deepest, strongest work to date. The beats and words paint such a visual picture it''s like being caught in a motion sound track of your life. Tired of being the guys who''s kindness was mistaken for weakness and the bullshit that relationships have brought to them, this album served it''s purpose as a dedication to all those (whether male or female) whom have been hurt or done wrong by someone.
