A new approach to the best of the old school. Jazz, Blues, R&B, Latin and Caribbean music performed live in a quartet setting by the core members of Anujazz as follows: Loye Hawkins - lead vocal, Les Blachut - keyboards, vibraphone, steelpans, malletkat, Juan Natividad - bass guitar, trumpet, vocal, Eloy Oliveros - drums, Latin percussion. For the home studio recording invited were: Tony Joyner - vocalese, Paul Legrande - acoustic bass, Tom Swayzee - trumpet, flugelhorn, John Hayman - drums, ambient noises, Jovel Johnson - cheering, Captain Blue Dog - unclassified exotic wind instruments. All dates are from June of 2008. Music on track #4 was recorded at the Katharine Young Library Auditorium in Margate, FL. Music on track #5 was recorded live at the Scrap Bar & Smoke House in Miami, FL. Music on track #6 was recorded at the night club formerly know as PG Doogies in Deerfield Beach, FL. That last recording features: Joey Kennedy, Sr. - lead vocal, Zoltan Grof - muted trumpet, Les Blachut - vibraphone, and Captain Blue Dog - harmonica.
