Stuck In London was conceived and written by Pat Lonzello in London in 1976. He traveled there with friend and fellow musician Lou Pezzengrilli to check out the local music scene and form a band to play in clubs and hopefully secure a recording contract. After placing an ad in a local newspaper they recruited French guitarist Thierry Reuillard.
Having run out of money after a few months (and in need of paying their dues) the band became squatters living in an abandoned London factory. During the day they rehearsed. At night they slept on the floor in sleeping bags trying their best to keep warm and keep the rats at bay. They can recall with a laugh how one very rainy night the ceiling collapsed around them as they slept. In between Pat also became a busker singing and playing guitar in London''s underground stations and busy Piccadilly streets.
