DANNY PRAZ - Lead Guitar and Vocals
DANNY PRAZ
Brookhaven, Pennsylvania singer/songwriter and guitarist, Danny Praz started playing guitar at the age of seven. Along with his brother, Guy, who played drums, Danny performed at many talent shows and functions throughout his early school years. By age 15, Danny and his brother turned their act professional, and began playing the local club scene in a band they called Circuit. At 18, Danny and Circuit highlighted the gifted guitarist''s senior year of high school by performing at his own senior prom.

Immediately after graduation, Danny joined a group of extremely talented musicians in a new wave act called The Adults, which took the Philadelphia local music scene by storm. During his tenure with the band, Danny recorded his first original songs. An offer followed, and soon after, under the original name Excalibur, Danny released Draft Card Blues B/W Dreamin'' on Counterpart Records. The song, a protest over the reinstatement of the draft, gained both local and national play, sold 36,000 copies nationally, and prompted Danny to take the original act Excalibur on the road. The group performed two national tours with four other acts that all had national releases. Excalibur''s brand of hard rock had them as the featured act of the tours.

After more than two years on the road, Danny returned home to add a keyboard player and a new singer to the lineup. The new band, Crash, emerged as a powerhouse of the local Philadelphia club scene. Crash performed hundreds of shows and concerts in the Philadelphia tri-state region and beyond, opening for such acts as Cheap Trick, The Outlaws, Alvin Lee of Ten Years After. The band released Games on Panda Records with all songs penned by Praz. Gaining both local and national air play, Crash came to the brink of being signed to a major label. After receiving a tip from the president of the record label that wanted to sign Crash, Danny was grabbed up by the Trenton-based band Rivals as a hired gun. Danny displayed his powerful guitar work, which led to an explosion of press coverage, live radio concerts and air play for the group.

While performing in the band, Danny continued his own work in the studio, and finished an album entitled Hard Candy. The release featured Danny performing almost all of the instruments and vocals, was well received, with the press calling his guitar work "stellar" and for the first time, giving a nod to both his song writing skills and vocal ability. With the solid reviews behind him, Danny formed a new act, Rock Patrol, to showcase all of his talents. The band went on to perform more than 600 concerts throughout the East Coast, and eventually became the band ThrowBack, which released the CD album Man in the Mask.

Danny Praz has performed more than two thousand shows, has opened for or performed with multiple national acts, has been featured on six independent releases, has recorded in 14 major studios, and has had 37 songs published with six recorded by other artists. Danny''s new CD, Tales of Broken Hearts, features songs written, performed, arranged, recorded and mix by Danny for all tracks!
