It''s often said, "Nothing good comes easy," and Dennis Massawe understands the meaning of those words. A native of Dar-es Salaam Tanzania in East Africa, Dennis and his family made the long journey to the United States in response to God''s call.
It hasn''t been quick or easy, but with new ministry opportunities and the debut of his exciting new album, No More LIMBO, Dennis, his wife Lulu, and their three young children are experiencing the joy of seeing God open up a new and exciting chapter in their lives. Dennis is a gifted worship leader, singer and songwriter of contemporary Christian music, and a passionate minister of God''s word.
The successful release of the first album, Arise and Shine, with the Maranatha band from City Christian Center (Upanga) Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania; paved the way for numerous opportunities to share his gifts.
As he’s traveled the globe, Dennis has witnessed a virtual tapestry of worship styles. And while it’s common for music to be identified as a particular genre, Dennis feels the wealth of experiences he’s enjoyed, combined with his versatility as an artist, precludes his original music from being labeled in any specific way. It is truly unique and exemplifies the diversity of worship he loves.
The pulsating rhythms and grooves on No More Limbo, will draw you into worship and lift your soul to a place above and beyond the challenges of life. As the gospel message is unfolded line-by-line, you’ll be propelled to a place of self-introspection and divine connection.
Dennis’s mission is to glorify God and to impact, improve, and empower lives. His passion to fulfill that mission is conveyed through his exciting and distinctive music. His desire is that God will use his songs to change hearts and lead people to a renewed purpose for living.
For Dennis, ministry is about way more than what happens on stage—he lives his life as an act of worship. His friends know he’ll stop whatever he’s in the middle of to pray for them, encourage them, and to remind them of how amazing and faithful God is. Whether ministering to his friends at home, or reaching out across the world, he is ready and available to serve where God leads.
Dennis is actively involved in ministry and has led worship in many venues, including CCC in Dar-es-salaam Tanzania, City Christian Center in Dar-es-salaam Tanzania, The 2005 Breathe festival in Columbus Ohio, Resurrection Power International Church in Columbus Ohio, Columbus Christian Center Ministry in Ohio, and The Rock Church of Temecula in California. He also accepts invitations as a guest worship leader.
