00 formed in summer 2006 on Court 11. With a tape recorder by their side they jammed once a week. However, they soon started jamming 3 times a week and over the next few months amassed enough material for 15 songs. In the fall of 2007 they started arranging and recording all of the material they had jammed on and what came out was their self-titled instrumental debut "d0ublezer0 - 00" consisting of 13 songs. The album can best be described as instrumental guitar-driven pop/rock music with a world beat influence. Alternative Muzak. 00 consists of Ty Avolio and Scott Brown. Ty is a veteran of the music scene and has played with The Raindogs, Patty Griffin, Kim Richey and Chris Knight. He was a staff songwriter with EMI Music Publishing Co. for 4 years and had songs on the Billboard charts with various country artists. He''s also been an instrumentalist on many Nashville recording sessions and appeared in various videos and movies. Scott on the other hand is a newcomer to the music scene. Although he has been playing guitar since the age of 15, he has only been writing and recording since 2006.
