Details:
Ronnie R. Riles Sr. comes from a family made up of his parents and four brothers. His brother’s names are Johnnie III, Jackie G. and Donnie Adair Riles. They attended the Church of God in Christ on the corner from their home as youth. Though they didn’t particularly enjoy going to church then, their mother made it mandatory for them to do so and took them every Wednesday night to bible class and every Sunday morning to service. Their mother was the spiritual nurturer of the family. She involved them in forming a family quartet and singing during services and also had a hand in Ronnie becoming the Sunday school teacher for the small children. He himself was only 10 years old. If no other children went to the altar when the offering was made for altar prayer, Ronnie and his brothers were surely to be there. The older saints would gather around them and began praying for them. Little did they know that the hand of God was at work, developing in these young men a mind and a desire to serve him, which took some time to come forth, but eventually blessed them to blossom into young men that would serve the Lord with gladness for their entire lives. Johnnie Riles III is the pastor of The Church on Holman Street Church in Houston, Texas. Jackie G. Riles is the pastor of Greater Love Community Church in Amarillo, Texas and Brother Donnie Riles is the minister of music at first Apostolic Church in Lockhart Texas. Ronnie eventually became a national evangelist and traveled the country for many years preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, telling a lost and dying world (Acts 2:28) to repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Ronnie began to sing after preaching a message and many times God gave him a song that coincided with his message and as the musicians would play, he would make a song up right on the spot. Thus began his songwriting skills.

Ronnie wrote the lyrics to all of the songs on the CD except for “Worthy of Your Love”, which was written by Rhonda Marshall Riles, his daughter and two songs that were co written by his nephew, Chris Mcgruder. The two songs are entitled “I’m Thankful and Real He’s Real”.

Ronnie started his own publishing company about a year ago and named it “Up Tha Praise Publishing”, a name that was suggested by his wife, Linda K. Riles. He also formed his own record label, “Endtime Warrior Records”. His debut CD, entitled “Bad Boys Need God Too”, consists of both traditional and contemporary tracks. Many of the songs give testimony to the power of the living God and Ronnie’s personal testimonies are contained therein. The songs speak of real life experiences and tend to give a glimpse of the road Ronnie traveled to get where he is today in God. The songs speak of trial and deliverance and offer hope to all that are seeking for peace and joy in this life and eternal life in that which is to come.

The music tracks will have you patting your feet and clapping your hands to the catchy tunes produced by Ronnie’s brother in law and partner, Malcolm Dewayne Jackson. Brother Jackson is an extremely gifted and talented musician and composer and his music can be heard on numerous projects in the Gospel industry today.

Background vocals heard on this CD are those of Brother Malcolm and Patricia Jackson (husband and wife), Ronnie and his wife Linda, who is the sister to Patricia. Also there was some help from Brother Larry Baldwin, Jimmie Willis and Elvis Seastrunk. Ronnie''s Sister in law, Georgia Riles, sings the lead vocals on the track entitled "Real He''s Real and her son, Chris McGruder, sings the background on the track. Ronnie''s wife Linda sings lead with him on "My Testimory" and "Made Me New". Rhonda Marshall Riles did a great job on the backgrounds for "Made Me New", My Testimony" and "Save Me Lord". The late "Big Mike Williams", who had great success with his new CD "Hiding Place", sings a verse on Ronnie''s CD entitled "Don''t Ask Me".

Big Mike Williams was one of Ronnie''s best friends and was the one who encouraged him to pursue recording a CD and actually recorded Ronnie on "Keep On Running" and "Nobody".
Big Mike was a tremendousy wonderful person first and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. He was a great pastor, preacher, teacher, husband, father and friend. He was a gifted and talented songwriter, composer and singer and most of all, he was anointed of God. He is missed by all who knew him.

It is Ronnie’s desire that those who listen to these songs will be blessed and uplifted in their spirit. The songs speak to the effect that it doesn’t matter who you are and where you have been God is able to deliver you. Remember “Bad Boys Need God Too”.
