Thibault et Jim ont pris conscience de leur existence réciproque et ont été mis en contact par « mamans interposées », collègues de longue date dans la même entreprise ! En 2007, ils décident de former un trio avec Oliver, acolyte incontournable de Thibault depuis quelques années déjà… Jim (britannique) et Oliver (maltais) se découvrent une langue commune : l’anglais. Et Thibault (français) se réjouit de l’apprendre au fil des répétitions, qui ont lieu dans sa cave à Aubervilliers. Malgré les différents idiomes et coutumes, ils réussissent à communiquer dans un jazz qui ne peut être que métissé et s’approprient ensemble les compositions et les arrangements du pianiste. Ils sont activement à la recherche d’un son de groupe. Ils enregistrent leur premier album en 2008.

Thibault and Jim got to know each other''s existence, and were introduced to each other through their "interposing mothers", long time colleagues in the same company! In 2007, they decided to set up a trio with Oliver, who had already been playing with Thibault for years... Jim (British) and Oliver (Maltese) discover a common language: english. Thibault (French) starts trying to pick up the language at every rehearsal, which happen in their basement in Aubervilliers. Despite the different cultures and customs, they manage to communicate through a jazz idiom which revels in mixed breeds, and work together into making the compositions and arrangements of the pianist, their own. They are constantly actively in search of a "group sound". They recorded their first album in 2008.
