Betweens is a folk rock band with a Swedish female singer/songwriter and four Danish musicians. They call their music Scandinavia, and it is a mix of rock, folk and country, with a hint of the traditional Swedish song tradition. The band was started in 1995 and released a record called Betweens in 1996 . The record was very well received and got a fair amount of airplay. The band toured with great succes in the end of the last century. Band members: Marie Kjerstinsdotter from Sweden: Vocal, Nils-Bro Müller: guitar, mandolin, Søren Thorup:drums and Morten Birket Smith bass. A second record was recorded but never released, and in 1999 the band decided to take a break. This lasted 10 years and now the band is back again with new songs, new recordings and a new member Ib Tranø on pedalsteel and guitar
