Details:
John Winn is known as the modern minstrel-troubadour. His roots run deep into the early days of the folk music revolution. In the 1950s and 1960s he shared the stage with many important artists of the day. Bob Dylan mentions John in his autobiography. John played venues in New York with Judy Collins, Peter Paul and Mary, Jose Feliciano and many other folk artists. Bob Shelton, foremost folk music critic and reviewer for the New York Times said of John’s appearance at Carnegie Hall, “John Winn represented the minstrel-troubadour tradition with high artistry.”

He has now begun recording his lifetime of original music, and currently has released five CDs, with three more soon to follow. He has appeared in concerts in Colorado at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens, the Fruita Fall Festival, Blue Sage Theater in Paonia, and Swallow Hill, Denver''s premiere folk music center. Through the wonders of the internet he has also reconnected with many of his old music friends, including Tom Paxton, Ramblin'' Jack Elliott, and Noel (Paul) Stookey. He recently sang a duet with Tom Paxton on Comedians and Angels, the title song on Tom''s Grammy Award nominated CD, at a Swallow Hill concert, and opened for Ramblin'' Jack Elliott at Steve''s Guitars in Carbondale, CO.
