Lesley Miller began her musical journey as a demo singer for some really cool songwriters, formed her own background group and worked on many notable albums with artists such as Steely Dan, James Brown, Frank Sinatra, Blood Sweat & Tears, Burt Bacharach, and Barry Manilow.
She sang in the movies Midnight Cowboy, and Cotton Club. Talk about fun, who could ask for a better career.
She was a jingle singer, noted for hundreds of jingles, such as, State Farm Life Insurance, written by Barry manilow, American Airlines, Luvs, Budweiser Beer, Coke, McDonalds, and Big Apple Circus. Many of her jingles are found in movies, like, Rocky, Being There, and many others.
Lesley is currently singing in “Dusty”, a trio with Sherryl Marshall, and Deborah Berg.
Denis Martin, a respected and admired musician, has produced a CD, with a variety of songs, written by him and Lesley.
Together they conceived, wrote, and produced a children’s album, “NANA-BOP”.
They had a great time writing “It’s O.K. To Play”, the song, and being part of the team.
