CRGRUVE - "Kinda like Chocolate Chip Cookies"... Why listen to CRGruve? The titles are intriguing. "MILF Song", "Trolling For Slop", "FILFY (Father I''d Like To Freak)"... Yeah the titles scream at you to listen... How about the genre? "Hip Pop"? There''s a singer who sounds a little like Steve Miller Band or Jackson Browne and a rapper who sounds like Bow Wow... Kinda like Chocolate Chip Cookies... So listen and you will see... The truth is were both marketers who simply love to write and perform. Our hearts and minds belong in music. It''s not about the money it''s about the energy we give and receive performing music we wrote. We started writing some music together coming back from a business trip. Ramone Jones was part of a Hip Hop group called Ill Natural and had some success with two albums, I was a music major in college, but pretty private in what I had written which was a lot of piano and vocal. We popped a CD of some tracks Ramone had created into the CD player on an hour drive back from the airport from a business trip and we wrote 2 songs, Senorita which is on this EP and one called Run Around. We had both spent time producing radio infomercials in the studio... we simply booked some time to lay down both songs and the enthusiasm exploded and 2 songs turned into 30 songs over the next few months. Songs that we both think deserve to be heard because of their unique sound and terrific stories. Maybe one or two of these tunes would be a hit on Saturday Night Live, but I think there''s a place on the radio for them as well. You''re gonna love them. I know they rock with the Spring Break type crowd.
