The New Hope Mass Choir was formed by Daniel Gatewood by combining members from the five talented choirs at New Hope Baptist Church.
Daniel Gatewood is the son of the pastor Dr. Rev.W.H. Gatewood who has been pastor of the church for 47 years. Daniel became a member when he was a young child then after going to college came back to serve as music director for the church.
The New Hope Mass Choir consists of members both young and old who have been a part of the church for most of their lives. They represent a marvelous church family that still stands in support of the 89 year old pastor. This group has come together to produce a cd that is has gained local and national attention because of the versatility and the substance of the songs.
