Brooklyn born first generation of Puerto Rican parents, DJ Longshot now calls the state of Virginia home. Growing up in the Big Apple, where diversity reins supreme benefited DJ https://www.tradebit.com is evidenced in his premier CD – Caliber. This former DJ turned Artist, had his beginnings in the music industry subbing for DJ’s at Danceteria. He also had cups of coffe at places like Café Lynx and the Blah Blah Lounge. After a brief hiatus from the music scene, DJ Longshot rediscovered his passion for music by way of producing his own works. This self taught student of the creative process was mainly influenced by Little Louis Vega, of Masters at Work, and Cajmere, a Chicago house group best known for "The Perculator". In addition DJ Longshot can attribute his many nights in clubs like Limelight, Shelter/NASA, Sound Factory Bar, Webster Hall, the Palladium and countless other hotspots like the Buddha Bar and Mars (second coming), for the massive amounts of musical absorption that reflects the many styles of his music today.
