BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF FAYE M. CAPERS
Faye Capers was born in Atlanta, Georgia where she remained throughout her childhood and a major portion of her adult years. She is the wife of Larry Capers and the mother of Kori and Kiana Capers. She is also a grandmother.
She started playing piano at the age of eight and also composed songs as a child. After six years of private lessons, Faye went on to college to major in music and voice. Voice was her major interest and concentration even though she had not yet recognized the calling that God had placed on her life.
During 1980, Faye began to search for a more meaningful experience in her relationship with the Lord and at that time dedicated her life to Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was after this that Faye’s spiritual growth began to take her into a more in-depth understanding of the reality that she was called, appointed and anointed by God to minister music as a psalmist.
Faye’s musical knowledge and skills enable her to demonstrate her gift in the areas of soloist, concert pianist and vocalist as well as teacher and leader of praise and worship. She ahs traveled to various parts of the United States, London and locally in the Northwest to minister music. God has begun to expand her ministry with the release of 2 cassette albums and two CD''s entitled First Fruits of Worship, also a Christmas CD that will soon be on this site.
Faye’s unique style of leading praise and worship provides people with an atmosphere of freedom in which they can worship God in spirit and in truth, which in turn brings about a corporate anointing and moving experience of God’s power and presence. Her music has a jazz flavor and is very soothing. She desires to touch as many lives as possible in order to accomplish what God has called her to do. Most of all, she wants to be an example of who Christ is by her lifestyle and testimony.
