The wheels in motion:
A musician of ambidextrous proportions, Ashley Knox takes the term singer/songwriter to new heights. Try songwriter, singer and bass player, and guitarist!?. And if you are still a little confused then look again and you’ll discover the later three are all performed live simultaneously by way of a custom built guitar/bass hybrid. Having a strong performance history under his belt he always delivers with a cense of spontaneity and sincerity. He is also one half of the soulful dance project “Joosika” a collaboration with Jason Eli (George Fm DJ/producer) who’s track "Ease Your Mind" featuring Cherie Mathieson was recently picked up by Copyright recordings.
Add to this the live and direct sound of rhythm ace Glenn Campbell, who has been performing and producing music with Ashley for over 10 years at venues such as Cause Celebre, and along side bands like the New Loungehead. Glenns crisp, tight, and modern approach to the drumming draws from the funk, drum n bass two step and latin.
Fusing the music together with the modern electronic environment is Cameron Olsen on keyboards. Having a background in jazz and latin guitar, performing with the Heavy Lounge Suite he brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong performance history.
Numotions E.P “Simple As The Sun” was mixed by Jason Eli and mastered by Chris Chetland (Kog), and is available now though CD Baby.
