"The first song (The Drillin''Yard House") nearly ended the project" according to drummer David McClellan."Terry(guitarist Terry Sidon) wanted every song to sound like it was copied from an old vinyl album".I think he succeeded on TDYH,and we can laugh about it now,but it made for some interesting days during the process."
As far as the name of the group, McClellan explained "We called the group The Road Kings really as a joke, because we''ve never even been across the street!This was just a chance to play some music."Several of the songs were inspired by McClellan''s experiences "growing up" in Shreveport,Louisiana.
