Fame and fortune aren''t really part of this dream. The dream stays alive by me knowing that someone, somewhere was moved by a song, moved by a word, moved by a chord...just moved, in some form or fashion. Don''t just hear it, and walk away. Born and raised in East Tennessee, singer/songwriter Travis Singleton offers a welcomed blend of acoustic grooves and introspective lyrics. Belief and self-doubt. Faith and religions. Hypocrisy and truth. Right and wrong. Love, hate, and all that falls in between. These, countless life experiences, and a blonde haired Arkansas native all find their way into the songs crafted in Travis'' mind. Eleven years of strumming guitars, two years of leading young adults in their expressions of worship, five years of lead guitar in a contempory christian band, along with the all ups and downs that come with being a twenty-something looking-for-answers kind of guy, led up to the creative explosion in Travis'' heart and soul during the fall of 2004. What started as a few attempts to impress a pretty young lady turned into a full blown outpouring of emotions. From the living room of his best friend''s apartment, to a local coffee shop in his hometown, Travis Singleton was about to be heard. Frequent visits to several open mic nights, as well as the monthly gig at the local Java Garden laid the foundation. With a collection of early writings recorded in April of 2005, shows became higher in number. From little ''ol Morristown, to Knoxville. Then to Asheville, NC. Shows in Virginia, and near the campuses of East Tennessee State and Carson Newman College. Nearly two years later, the sky is now the limit. Working with producer/engineer, Mark Wagner, at his studio in Nashville, the debut EP ''Along For The Ride'' will be released this fall, and the buzz will surely continue, taking the message to new places, new venues, and most importantly, new listeners. Listen close. The ride is just beginning....
