This three piece band from Boston sports great hooks and sharp melodies. Sounding somewhere between the Buzzcocks and Nirvana, KRUSHR write great songs and rock hard. KRUSHR have drawn comparisons to Queens of the Stone Age, Social Distortion, and The Replacements. Their catchy and melodic songs are well crafted, and have just the right amount of guitar power and pop sensibility.
The album''s first track "Bad Advice" opens things nicely. The hard hitting "Yeh Yeh Yeh Yeh" and "Swan" speed things up a notch. Both feature some nice guitar work especially the 12 string solo on "Swan" and the blistering leads on "Yeh Yeh Yeh Yeh".
The straight ahead rock of "Pullin'' All My Strings", "Dance Card", and the ominous "Anything" gives the band an opportunity to showcase their more dynamic elements. KRUSHR''s solid rhythm section propels the Soundgarden-like "Anything" allowing the band to settle into a nice heavy groove. "Sitting In My Room" ends they disc just as it started - a high energy and infectious track.
KRUSHR''s first CD was recorded and mixed at Kissy Pig Studios in Allston, MA.
