The name I was given is Jeremy Kolars. I am an independent singer/songwriter living in Mankato, MN. I write songs about being alive. Sometimes I get lucky and a song speaks elegantly enough to satiate the voices in my head. The only real way to get to know me is to take a moment to listen because the unfortunate reality of life as I know it has little to no patience for straight forward honesty. Chances are you may someday hear a song of mine played on a local radio station, or by someone who happened to pay attention for a moment, leading to the inheritance of a CD to play in the privacy of their humble abode, and then possibly for your own aural interpretation. Either way, I''m more concerned with sorting out who I am and what I need to believe in on a day to day basis than writing the next great short lived platinum pop classic.

I am currently working on a double concept album to be completed in the Summer/Fall of 2006 (if the sky falls as planned). Earlier releases include a cooperative effort with my brother Andrew under the group name One For Luck with our album "Temporary Scars" ~ released in 1998. The most recent effort entitled "Cannot Grow If You''re Not Hungry" was recorded at Two Fish Studos in Mankato, MN (https://www.tradebit.com), and was released in the Fall of 2002. This was my first "solo" effort and includes all of the samples you can hear on this site. People often get upset with me for not sharing my musical efforts on a broader basis than the off chance that someone walking outside of my home may be hearing some screaming through my bedroom window, so keep a lookout for upcoming show dates in the greater southern MN area soon!
