K’ottic “Giv Me What U Got ! ” Artist Profile: Growing up in the 9th Ward of New Orleans LA., in the Florida Project Housing, is where K’ottic (Peter Trotter) spent most of his life hustling and committing other crimes, that later affected his life by going to jail at an early age. After loosing most of his childhood friends to the streets of New Orleans, he found another hobby other then selling drugs. With the money that he made, he put it to good use and purchased his first keyboard (an Eps 16 Plus) that he once saw a childhood friend producing tracks on. K’ottic later started Rapping, Producing, mixing his own songs, and making tracks for local acts. Since he already had street credibility it was easier for him to sell his tracks to other local acts, that was doing gangster rap like him. After building a local buzz in New Orleans, he later met Carlos Stephens, a local producer who later became part of the No Limit beats by the pound. By seeing his friend Carlos come from nothing to being a part of history, K’ottic started taking his music more serious. He opened shows for artists like Mystikal, Partners in crime, and others. Now K’ottic currently run his own label (Nubreed Records LLC.) located in Jackson Ms.
