As the title of the album already suggests, this is a very Chinese influenced album. He actually sings one song in Mandarin (Track 2). Track 7 & 11 are semi-semi. Otherwise, this is a collection of the songs he has written over the year. It opens with the Egyptian influenced rock tune “Maliciously in love” and ends with with Tango-ish rocker “Red & Black”. Comparing to the past albums, this album contains songs that have more distinct styles than before. This album was recorded in a hotel room in Shanghai and it took almost six months to finish. (That was longer than the time it took to finish all the other CDs he made in the past.)
