There are a lot of heavy weight names in the world today. Names that dominate our society and can influence it both positively and negatively, but the Supreme Name, the Name of the Lord has become imponderous and somewhat lightweight to many. Stepping to the defense of the Almighty God, the One who Reigns Supreme is His most neoteric representative, Karen Clark.

In introducing her debut album "Eyes Opened, Heart Changed", Karen has blended the tasteful ingredients of praise, worship, and love for a masterful tribute to the one she says deserves it all. "I wanted this album to reflect who God is to me, and to help others see who He can be to them if they would only trust in Him, not things or people."

"Jesus is wonderful! I really love Him. He is my Shepherd and my friend. I want to introduce Him in that very light to everybody. There are a lot of people who don''t know Him that as Shepherd, but they can." A good Shepherd and friend He is to lead her in green pastures of such poignant flavor and feeling in the first single off the CD "I''m So In Love."

Karen began singing with her dad at the tender age of 5 (five). After surprising him with a phone call at work one day to let him hear that she could not only sing, but play songs chord for chord on their piano by ear, her father decided to add her older brother on drums and formed a group called The Williams Family when she was 8 (eight). The group later went on to record 2 (two) successful albums.

"Gospel music has always been a very important part of me. I''ve learned so many things from my dad, and for the past 10 years I''ve been a student of my husband Ron. I''ve had the pleasure of accompanying not only my family, but my husband''s family, Candy Staten, Maurette Brown-Clark, and a few others on organ."

Karen took a side journey from the style of her musical roots. Along with her better half, song- writer, producer, and bass guitar genius Ron Clark, the two have combined their talents and love for God''s music to create 15 life-changing songs for this debut album.

The pressure was on for the Clarks in the spring of 2002. Stuck in a rut of religious tradition and scrutiny, the smooth, elegant sounding "Hand of the Lord" was created. "The Hand of the Lord was the spark that started this whole thing. It was totally an unplanned, unrehearsed result of extreme heat conditions in the state of religion. This song was a cry to God for help, and on that Wednesday night, He answered. We will never forget that moment. We were at a crossroad in our lives and had to "Do What''s Right" in the eyesight of God and it wasn''t favorable with a lot people."

Make no mistake that Karen is doing what''s right with this album. "Praise Ye The Lord", another explosive track illustrates the symphonic beauty of praise with heavenly vocals and live instrumentation. She''s also singing a much-needed "New Song" representative of the fact that the struggle of seeing God for herself is finally over.

It''s impossible to misinterpret who her Lord and King really is. She makes it known in an awesome tribute called "King Forever." This melodic delight is a testimony of Karen''s, and a wake up call to the people of God as it addresses one of the biggest movements in today''s church, The Prayer of Jabez.

Sure to give you a "Refreshed Heart", this album is a must have. It''s full of love songs to the Most High and not slow in the heavy rhythm of house beats in "You Reign Supreme", which Karen refers to as her victory chant.

"It''s important to us that all walks of life can enjoy this album, and that everyone see God in a different light and give Him back His props. That''s why we didn''t limit it in word, style or genre."
