Singer-song writer Chad Kichula is born and raised in the heart of the Canadian Prairies. A blue-collar worker writing from a working class point of view, Chad is influenced by musicians that have taken political and moral stands in their careers. It’s then no surprise that he patterns himself after songwriters Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle and Johnny Cash. Fronting for a year with a three piece band Atticus, Chad is now pursuing his solo career. Writing fifty songs over a two year period, recording an album and putting a 4 piece backing band together; Chad’s ready to take on the world. Choosing songs written about issues close to his heart, Chad Kichula’s self titled album tackles concerns close to home and around the world. This maybe a different approach for a debut artist, but Chad didn’t want to release an album about nothing. He’s currently getting airplay on over 25 Canadian college stations, as well as stations in Germany, and Australia. Leaving the rest of the rock world to write about the same damn things, Chad Kichula’s independent release is now available on his own indie label, Redwater Records.
