Details:
No Such Discussion from Kimberly Hall is the sound of an artist on the verge. With her music and voice on the Discovery Channel''s "Garage Takeover" theme song, a movie trailer, a cd box set from the T.V. show "Felicity" and numerous MTV shows including Punk''d and Real World, the next logical step would seem to be mainstream success. NSD is the record that might just do that. Quite a departure from her rocking days when she wrote songs for and fronted her band Suzi. NSD is more of an intimate affair, with acoustic guitar and Hall''s voice the dominant instruments. The results are a softer side of Hall that has her coming into her own as a solo artist, while showcasing her evolution as an emerging songwriter. Unfettered by the harder sound she previously employed, the production is a good example of less is more. The spotlight is on Hall and what she has to say, and the results are a collection of tunes that capture a woman at various places and times in her life. Although most certainly inspired be events that transformed her life, NSD is more about the learning process associated with life and love. No Such Discussion is an album of well crafted songs from one of the area''s best talents. Kimberly Hall proved she could rock and roll with Suzi, and the direction she''s taken with her solo venture should win her a whole new legion of fans. It''s a heartfelt effort that will immediately catch your ear and keep your attention from start to finish. I suggest you go to https://www.tradebit.com and check out her performance videos, song examples and the Suzi back catalog, and you''ll hear what I mean. With a resume'' like hers, there''s probably something for everyone.
