New York native Kim Jones is a singer/songwriter based in Denver, Colorado. Jones'' style has been described as folk rock with rich acoustic rhythms and melodic vocals supported by a rock groove.
A finalist in the 1998 Lilith Fair Talent Search, Jones is an accomplished teller of tales whose music is as rich melodically as it is lyrically enchanting. "I like telling stories through my music" says Jones "Whether it''s about places I''ve been or people I''ve met or to share life''s journeys, my music let''s me speak from the heart in a way that is very personal to me." an ode to the Northwest corner where Jones spent her formative teenage years. "Connecticut Towns" is Jones'' personal homage to a time and place that remains reassuringly constant in a world fraught with change. John Magnie of the Subdudes accompanied Jones on accordion and keyboards on most of the tracks of Road Dreams, along with other top flight musicians. The album was mixed and mastered by renowned studio engineer James Tuttle.
