"Paralysis & Denial" finally brings to the public ear the intriguing, catchy and engaging music of San Francisco multi-instrumentalist Ken Flagg.
Born and raised on Long Island, home of Billy Joel and Harry Chapin, Ken has been writing songs since he was 11 years old. After completing his degree in music composition he spent a year working as an engineer, producer and session player in the hip hop industry where he worked with luminaries like Big Pun and Tyrone Fyffe. Then it was off to the city of his dreams, San Francisco, where he has been active in the music scene for the last six years performing in open mics and with other Bay Area musicians like Pi, James Caran and psychedelic space-rock outfit Richard Bitch.
"Paralysis & Denial" is a short story made of songs, and delves into the depths of unrequited love, immobilizing introspection, the pain of moving on, and regret. Be sure to listen to the always-polarizing "Crack Baby" for a sharp critique of the middle-class malaise.
In addition to his work as a songwriter, Ken has also composed incidental music for plays and scored short films. Look out for a full-length LP to be released in 2007!
