Keith Sheppard is a solo singer/guitarist/pianist based in El Cerrito, CA. He played piano in coffee shops and bars around the Bay Area until he discovered he could carry a tune. His music could be described as a mix of rock, funk, jazz and r&b driven by acoustic guitar and powerful, soulful vocals. His influences are wide and varied, ranging from jazz legend Chick Corea, to Dave Matthews, to Mettalica. He believes that good music is good music and shouldn''t be placed in a category. His debut CD, Old Man, is very stripped down acoustic music which brings attention to the quality of the songs. His band, Sheppardskrook, is working on its first CD, which should be out later this year.
