Details:
This sophomore CD is a powerful combination of songs: "Pretend" has a Native-American feel to it while sing-a-long anthems like "Change" and the hooky-pop songs "Hurricane" and "Survive" are sure to reel you in. Bluesy "Get Free" and "Chameleon" show Kelley''s soulful side and "Guardian Angel" reflects her take on individual spirituality. Her love song/ballad offerings like
"Blown Away" and "No Greater Love" show that all LOVE is created equal.

Kelley picked up her first guitar as a child. From a large bi-racial musical family, she learned the value of sharing music was more important than any material possession. After a series of tragic events, Kelley picked up the guitar again with a passion; playing for hours every day as a means of both survival and escape.

Kelley’s influences include Joni Mitchell, Richie Havens, Jimi Hendrix and the great humanitarians Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.

What makes Kelley’s music different is the spirit of it. She not only processes her own pain and joy through her songs; but in the purest sense she seeks to help others heal from their suffering through the universal themes of her songs. Her music is lyric-driven folk; with driving beats and hooky melodies that are infectious; getting stuck in your head for hours after listening to them. In her songwriting, she is gifted and fearless. With a message of tolerance for all humanity, she fearlessly addresses such hot social issues as racism,
child sexual abuse and poverty.

Career highlights include opening for the legendary activist and recording artist Holly Near. She’s also shared the stage with Thelma Houston, Rick Derringer and Peter Tork of The Monkees. With a belief in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, she’s performed at many sober festivals. In her own home recording studio, she produced and contributed two songs to The Voices of Recovery CD Project; an educational tool that was mass-produced and distributed to doctors, therapists and New Hampshire Lawmakers.

It is important for Kelley to connect with her fans because her music is authentic. With no frills or false pretense she reveals herself in a humble and raw way; and that honesty cuts through everything and connects her to people everywhere.
