Five Star Fiasco released their first album in early June, 2009.
The self titled album demonstrates the unique writing skills and talents of the band, featuring vocalist Ricky Killingsworth, guitarist Chris Strahan, and drummer Jordy Tourne’ all from Louisiana. Chris Sicillano, originally from Ohio joined the band as its new bass player in 2009, thus completing the line-up.
After forming in 2006, the band performed across southeast Louisiana playing both cover and original songs. Five Star Fiasco changed directions after playing a sell out New Year’s Eve Party in 2007 and concentrated solely on producing their all-original album. FSF’s sound, described as addictive guitar riffs and groove, with melodic verses and hook-driven choruses is illustrated throughout the album.
The band began work in the studio at Balance Productions in Mandeville, Louisiana, in the summer of 2008 with Producer/Engineer Drew Vonderhaar. Following the studio work, Sterling Sound in New York took over and handled the mastering of the album.
