The group Scenic View started out as a solo project by Philip Ståhlgren. His music was much influenced by singer/song-writers such as Damien Rice and Josh Woodward. In time Philip felt an urge to expand his acoustic sound. Thereby, his brothers Kristopher Ståhlgren and Johannes Håkansson got more and more involved in the project. With Kristopher on electric guitar and Johannes on bass Tommy Magnusson was recruited to fill the void behind the drums. From being mainly a recording project a stronger need to perform live evolved.
After successful live performances and good response from the audience the band decided to record a full-length album. To complete “the sound of Scenic View” Andreas Lindahl (keyboard) joined the band. And for the debut album, InSight, female singer Lovisa Kindenäs contributed with vocals on two of the eleven songs.
