SCORPIO SLIM a.k.a SSTRAXX, was born as Yohan Hameed and raised in the hoods of Cincinnati, Ohio.
His stage name is derived from his zodiac sign. He is a rap artist and music producer.
He has been influenced by artists such as Dr. Dre, Mannie Fresh, Timberland, Gucci Mane and Juelz Santana.
As a child his first loves were art and basketball. He began writing lyrics at twelve, but
never took music seriously. Though playing basketball and sketching were his passions he let
behavioral problems get in the way of his talents and was kicked out of Cincinnati''s School of
Performing Arts. Due to his lack of concentration he slipped further into the street life of
violence, drug dealing and other crimes that led to jail and prison sentences. He credits his
imprisonment for the time he dedicated to his lyrics and a newfound ambition to accomplish
personal goals. He also thanks his grandmother, a Chicago based jazz singer, also his little cousin Kevin
a music producer for teaching him some things about the business.
He started out as a member with a group named Sic Coalition, also known locally as Sic Squad.
The group fell apart due to differences the members couldn''t work out. Scorpio Slim decided it
was time to put his creativity to the test as a solo act. As time went on he developed an ear for
music and creating unique sounds. As SSTRAXX he has produced tracks for local artists
including Blackk Jackk,Cash Connection, https://www.tradebit.comsty and more.
He has opened for Young Jeezy at Cincinnati''s premier nightclub, The Ritz and has performed
numerous times throughout the city. He is now investing his time in promoting his latest album,
Swaggtastic. He looks forward to his endless efforts paying off with not only local but celebrity
notability.
