Samvega is a five piece located in Northern California. The have been making music together for over 5 years. Their music has been described as the following… “dark circus”… “pirate music”… “bass and drum heaven”… “Jefferson Airplane meets Primus”… “progressive rock with a cabaret twist”…and on and on. All from different musical backgrounds and tastes…when they get together and jam the outcome is exciting and new. They mostly play in Northern California…San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Sebastopol, Chico, Napa, and ECT. They have been on three tours…the most recent one was a Midwest tour…playing Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Minneapolis, ECT. They also have toured Oregon and Washington. And…through it all…they have determined that life on the road is for them!!
Melissa and Mercedes (sisters) were raised in the hills of Napa valley on a ranch with TONS of animals, trees and NO TV…so they began creating art and music at a very young age. Melissa plays electric mandolin, guitar and sings. Mercedes uses a vocal peddle to make etherel effects that surround the music. Both have deep penetrating lyrics. They are also artists, providing all the visuals for the band, posters, cds, t-shirts, ECT. They paint huge oil paintings, sets, backdrops…basically anything! (https://www.tradebit.com)
Pat Feistel was classically trained by a jazz drummer in Wisconsin…and developed his style in the big wide Midwest. After going to college for philosophy and psychology, he decided to pursue his true love…music. His thunderous approach to the drums drives the band into its different avenues of sound. He also drives the bus…wherever the band may go!
Tip O’neil is also a mid-western boy. Raised in Oshkosh Wisconsin. He grew up on cheese, brats, beer, bikes and bass. Tip is the “techy”, keeping the equipment and vehicles running smoothly. He and pat create a rhythm section that climbs up there with some of the greats,,,seriously!
Pablo…the newest member of the band…grew up on a winery just above the Napa valley. He basically plays EVERYTHING…in the band…guitar and accordion…such a little punk…but the sweetest punk you’ll ever meet…we adore him!
