There is an old statement that says Artist are born and not created and these artists were born destined to reach the pinnacle of music and success. Sargent (Ubaldo A. Duran) was born on May 21st, 1988 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At the age of 3, Sargent along with his mother and older sister, moved to New Jersey to live with his father. Unfortunately after six years, his father was never around so that caused his mother to make the decision to move to Freeport, New York where they will start a new life. Sargent grew up with the anger inside, the reason being that his father was not with him. By the age of 11 he began writing songs to take out some of the animosity that he was feeling and that helped him. As years went by Sargent found out of a special attribute that no one can withdraw from him which was writing songs. Kapricho (Ubaldo O. Ureña) was born on May 31st, 1984 in East Meadow, New York. At the very early age of 2 Kapricho would sing in front of his family while his uncle played the piano. He lived with his mother in Queens, New York until the age of 8 where his mom decided to send him to live with his grandmother in Freeport, New York, due to the fact that she gave birth to his sister and was not able to provide for both of them. At the age of 12 Kapricho began writing poetry to escape the negativity around him. While growing up Kapricho formed various groups with friends and family members of which none of them worked out. That all changed when Sargent Y Kapricho was formed in 2003. Sargent Y Kapricho are determined artist who have the ambition to succeed no matter the obstacles. They have shed their blood, sweat and tears and been thru hell and high water but that still hasn''t stop their aspiration to be the best in what ever they do. In November 2007 they had an encounter with God and they decided to completely change their music and lives to glorify his name and bring the whole world specially the youth closer God. In 2008 after years and years of trying to work on their first album God reveled to them that their talents were made to worship and glorify Him. Their first album “Como Expresar?” was release on that November. As soon as that change was made success has taken over their careers thanks to their savior Jesus Christ. They are very active in the Charismatic movement and have performed in many Christian events. They have also shared the stage with many acts such as Tres Coronas, Anayka, France Joli, Rio Poderoso, Arturo Daniel, JDV, RioSKUAD, Holyfire, Alfareros, Tim Hanley from Hard as Nails Ministries and many others.
