11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: 70''s Rock, POP: Folky Pop

Details:
Gordon is just an every day working man who likes to write songs and perform. His backyard rock has a style all of its own. Some of his songs can make you cry, some of his songs can make you laugh, and some of them are down right corny, but all of them will entertain you. Gordon’s friend Phil brings life to four songs with vocals and builds excitement with his drums on all of them except one. Jeff, co owner of Asylum Studio, in Reno, fills out the songs with solid and creative bass lines.

Gordon loves all kinds of music from acid rock to bluegrass. He has many favorites. He loves song writer/guitar player Jimi Hendrix. His favorite rock album is Ted Nugent’s first solo album “Ted Nugent.” In contrast, Amy Grants’ “Behind the Eyes” is one of his favorites too. He says almost every song on the radio inspires him.

Gordon’s songs are built from life’s experiences: Married for 26 years to his wife Laurie, and raised two boys: Joshua, 23; and Jacob, 21. He was born and raised in Hamilton a small town nestled in the upper Skagit Valley among the Cascade Mountains in Northwest Washington. A logger for several years and the son of a logger, Gordon knows what it is to work hard. He worked his way through college trimming trees around power lines. He was a minister for eight years. He drove a concrete mixer for several years. He now manages a ready mix plant in Nevada. “Come ‘n Play” contains a few of his songs--they are encouraging, and an entertaining glimpse into his life.
