Details:
What type of band are you?~

ummmm, rubber band! ~ boi-oi-oing. If you have to ask, you better ask some1 else.

Tell us the brief history of your band.~

brief? Born in the south, raised on the west coast. . . gave me a blend of both areas of the genre. I started out recording in a garage. Then in my bedroom with a microphone hanging from a ceiling fan; all the way to a studio! Connected with a few groups along the way, which eventually split up. Collaborated with cats all over the place. Dropped 2 studio albums (available NOW online!)and numerous albums prior that haven’t officially been released. Over 120 recorded tracks not including collaborations- Over 250+ beats under the belt- Still at it man. . . Still at it. . .

Who are your musical and non-musical influences?~

Life’s lessons influence me. My brother, my dad, family. . . friends, haters & nay-sayers- the fans!. . . music & love. . . alcohol is almost a necessity when its time to make some fire beats. . . lol it gets the creative juices flowing. . .

What are your dreams and goals?~

This question is always asked. . . my dream used to be to get rich and be on TV and making Scrooge McDuck ends, but that changed. My dream now is just to have people listening. . . “If I could change one life, I know its all worth it” –Confession ~ It means a lot when people respond and tell me my songs touched them & made them cry. . . or they feel where I’m coming from . . . or my music is better than most they’ve heard. . . its motivation that keeps me doing what I love.

Who writes the songs, what are they about?~

If I spit it, I wrote it. . . unless it’s a hook or something. Sometimes we collaborate on hooks. On solo tracks tho, they should all be 99% me. They’re about anything and everything. Download it and listen! I cant give away all my secrets.

What''s your opinion of George Bush?~

He smells like snickers and twinkies and he’s full of SHIT!

Describe your show, visual and musically~

Has your eye ever had an eye-gasm? Come to a show and it will. Repeatedly.

What do you think about downloading music online?~

My s**t is currently all over the black market lol – its cool because of the exposure and people are listening but at the same time it’s taking away from my pocketbook. I stated I don’t rap for the money, but money goes in to making CDs. They don’t come for free. Breaking even is a plus. A little extra on the side is like a tip to a waiter for a job well done. Where’s my tip?

What''s your outlook on the record industry today?~

The industry is terrible. Flo-Rida sampling that techno/euro song ‘I’m Blue’ for his latest single??? WTF is that?! The music industry isn’t doing so well when that’s what its come to. The s**t has all gone commercial. What happened to making music for the message and the fun of it? Now record companies won’t put anything out if it doesn’t have a club song with big name features. It’s a damn shame. It’s sad when music is all about numbers and not substance.

Tell us a story about a day in your life.~

Let me go back to high school. . . when my boi Jason passed away. . . I was in 12th grade, so I’d say it was 2000/2001 or so. We’re chilling at lunch walking around as usual and some dude comes up to me like ‘ay, u used to kick it with Jason huh?’- my reply was ‘yea, that’s my dude!’. . . he says ‘that’s f**ked up what happened’. . . my heart dropped like what the f**k is he talking about?? Dude tells me ‘oh u haven’t heard?? He was shot and died’. I didn’t believe it at first. It was like no way. Impossible. So my boi M12 and I start heading to this teacher’s room to see if she’d let us use the internet to research it and see what the f**k is going on. Sure enough. . . we read the story, printed it and walked outta the classroom to the lunch table. We still didn’t believe it at first and then it kind of hits you like the ocean just pouring over you. That was my dude man. We kicked it EVERY day at school- met in between classes EVERY day for a few yrs. It was hard man- I still remember everything so vividly. I remember he used to jam my first tape all the time. Promoting me to everybody n showing my s**t off. . .

What advice would you give to fellow bands?~

Stay underground and in control of your own music!! Stay true to what you do and don’t try to mimic anyone else’s sound. Make music for yourself, not to try and blow.

What are some of your pet peeves?~

Hypocrites, people that leave toothpaste in the sink. . . sloppy people- people that talk all that head about what they plan on doing and never follow through. . . Materialistic people. . .People that “drive” talking on their cellphones. If you cant do the AT LEAST speed limit PUT THE PHONE DOWN!! -

How does music affect you and the world around you?~

Its my outlet. . . its my free therapy! I’m a very nonchalant person. I think if I didn’t have an outlet to release my anger, pain, stress and other emotions I wouldn’t be the worry free person I am now. I definitely think it makes me a better person lol you don’t want to see me angry-

What are the biggest obstacles for bands?~

Staying together and maintaining a balance. People have different views on different things and don’t always see eye to eye. I believe the biggest downfall is not being accepting of other people’s views. The team I’m rocking with now mesh well. We’re open to listening to changes we each hear in a beat or hearing ideas from different aspects. It’s a matter of respecting every one’s voice whether you agree with it or not.

What''s the best and worst thing about playing clubs?~

The worst part is there is always one CRAZY drunk that gets a little too comfortable (and I’m not talking about you Sean! LoL ur my boi) ~ The best thing is the direct contact you have with people as opposed to playing an area with say 10,000 people. You can actually see people’s reactions.
