D’Anthony Forte was born in Culver City California on October 11th, 1974 to Louis and Sarita Forte. He began playing piano and drums at the age of 7. His love for music began while watching his uncle and older brother play along to Earth Wind and Fire albums at his grandparents’ house. He often played in church as well as performed with his family at various events.
D’Anthony’s musical abilities were further developed when he enrolled into the audio recording program at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, where he received a scholarship to sing with the jazz band. During his time here he had the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York, and appear on several nationally syndicated sitcoms.
D’Anthony has developed into a passionate singer, songwriter, poet, and musician who uniquely captures the full gamut of human emotion through song by performing, writing, and producing.
D’Anthony has been influenced by the following artists: Michael McDonald, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, the Winans, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Kenny Loggins, Andre Crouch, Jamiroquai, Brian McKnight and Boyz II Men.
