Details:
Guyton''s style is often compared to the likes of Tori Amos, George Michael, and Sarah McLachlan. His blend of rich vocals (a multi-octave range), melodic piano, and the passion that drives him to write, play, and sing is captivating.
Renowned artist, Teddy Washington, once described him as "fresh & innovative". Others call him a "unique & intimate talent".
Guyton knew he belonged to music at an early age, performing by the time he was five. His father, a jazz drummer turned minister, gave him his earliest exposures to music in the church & in the living room when his "poppy" turned up the big band tunes to play drums.
While growing up, he was influenced from bits and pieces of gospel, jazz, pop, and progressive. After years of singing in church, he began to sing jazz in country clubs and other venues. Then he began to pick up the piano and explore writing, which has developed into a style of music all it''s own.
The CD entitled "Fallen Angel" is a flowing stream of raw creativity. Recorded in the studio with live, un-Dr. single takes, it carries over his acoustic sounds into the studio without loosing the warmth of his performances. The album includes 5 tracks. Four original, including the title song inspired by a painting by Rob McRae and one cover of a ballad version of Cher''s hit "Believe," ending with an overlapping a capella vocal arrangement.
